Daenerys Rejected 6 Scripts and She Was Right About Every One

Our quality gate AI has an 80% pass rate. Here's what the 20% rejection rate actually looks like, and why it's the most important part of the system.

The Content Machine has a quality gate. Her name is Daenerys, and she rejects about 20% of everything Tyrion writes.

People see that stat and ask: isn't 80% kind of low? Shouldn't the writer be better?

No. The 20% rejection rate is why the output is good.

What rejection actually looks like

Last month, Daenerys rejected 6 of the 36 scripts Tyrion submitted. Here's what was wrong with them:

Two had hooks that were too generic. The kind of "Did you know..." opener that every AI writes. Daenerys caught them because her standard for hooks is specific: it needs to create curiosity in the first 3 seconds.

One had a factual claim without a source. Tyrion pulled a stat from somewhere and Daenerys flagged it as unverifiable. Good catch.

Two were too long for the platform. A 90-second TikTok script for a format that works best at 30-45 seconds. Platform mismatch.

One was just... boring. Daenerys's assessment was essentially "this is competent and nobody would watch it." She's not wrong.

What happens after rejection

Tyrion rewrites. He gets Daenerys's specific feedback and produces a new version. The rewrite loop runs up to twice per piece. In practice, the second version almost always passes.

The 6 that got rejected? All 6 rewrites were approved. And honestly, comparing the before and after, Daenerys was right every time. The rewrites were meaningfully better.

Why this matters

Most AI content tools just... generate. You get output. Maybe it's good, maybe it's not. You're the quality gate. Which means you're reading 30 scripts and making judgment calls about each one.

The Content Machine has its own quality gate built in. By the time you see the output, it's already survived a review process. The stuff that's "fine but not good enough" never makes it to your dashboard.

That 80% pass rate means the 100% that reaches you is actually worth posting.

The uncomfortable truth

Most AI-generated content is mediocre. Not bad — mediocre. Good enough to technically exist, not good enough for anyone to care about.

The fix isn't a better writer. It's a pickier reviewer. That's Daenerys's job.
